Pokemon 2001 Fan Club Member 700 Points Prize Gold Magikarp Holofoil Promo Card

Pokemon 2001 Fan Club Member 700 point redemption prize Gold Magikarp holofoil promo card. This card was from the original Pokemon Fan Club (Before Daisuki Club and before the Players Club). It was only available to Japanese Fan Club members who reached the 700 point level, which was the very highest prize on the old point scale. If you were lucky enough to reach the 700 point level, you were awarded this card. The original Pokemon Fan Club closed down many years ago when it changed to the Players Club (which is also closed down). This card looks very similar to the ultra rare insert Gold Magikarp card, but there are some differences. First, on the Neo 3 Gold Magikarp card, the whole card sparkles, where as this card does not. On the Fan Club card, the Gold Magikarp is a gold embossed holofoil, where the Neo 3 card is not. And finally, the Neo 3 card has the triple star mark on the bottom right corner of the card, where as the Fan Club card does not. The Fan Club card is much more rare than the Neo 3 card.
